The development of staff skills is a major issue in the consolidation of teams. Indeed, we are ready to bring you the know-how and best practices you need.

But why insist on capacity building in business?
In sub-Saharan Africa, building the capacity of staff and teams is an acute problem. Some business leaders pay very little attention to it. They are convinced that the results, although flattering, justify the know-how or the leveling of the various actors. However, developing the entrepreneurial skills of teams or investing in human capital is a guarantee of the sustainability of any company. And it is unequivocal!

“I don't regret this traditional training. However, I am convinced that we would have received it a little earlier than there are decisions that I would have made or not for our business incubator!”

These are the words of the Director of an agropastoral business incubator. At the end of a training module for Managers of incubation structures, he realizes why it is necessary to focus more on the transformation of the mindset of leaders than that of employees. Because employees only follow or imitate what the Leader offers them, be he manager, director, promoter or a simple dynamic executive. Since 2016, we have experienced it: those who understand why it is necessary to retrain are inclined to have their staff trained.

On the other hand, each year, we discuss with the HR departments current practices in terms of training. Some are sensitive to building the capacity of staff in companies. They emphasize certifications, additional professional diplomas and upgrades within the company itself (peer training). Others omit to re-specify the issues of transition, change, succession, psychological contract, etc. Therefore, we intervene to encourage each other to empower those who have the will to learn to:

  1. The development of behavioral skills
  2. The development and mastery of management tools
  3. Changing business paradigms.
